Co-written with former bassist Mat Dorsi in 2016, "Reckless Driver" is a sinister metaphor for a relationship led by a monster of a man who takes every wrong turn. The outro is actually derived from the original demo that Matt recorded and showed to Miles when he pitched the song as potential Blue Spruce material.

In a landscape most peculiar,
Couldn't stop, with red lights flashing,
Wouldn't stop, with stop signs passing,
Later claimed you didn't see them,
Cheating death and causing mayhem,

Did you mean to break her heart?
Reckless driver, you destroyed her,
Didn't you mean to brake the car?

Analyze the crash for what it was,
Arrogance and anger just because,
He had never driven a car before,
Left her in the backseat, to ignore.

Pleading that she didn't want to go,
Terrifying actions drowned her "no".
Running on fumes and clammy beer,
He forced his words into her ear.
Wished that she had never seen,
His crooked smile and horrid grin,
Though in her mind it's not her fault,
The life in her eyes came to a halt.

Claim that it was her decision,
Even with your tunnel vision,
You are all she's got, left now.
